&lt;p&gt;Canadian employees have few legal protections against workplace
monitoring, experts said, after TD Bank told some staff it would use
software to track their work activity, raising concerns about
consent and privacy.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;/blockquote&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In the context of the Canadian Governement trying to ram through
Parliament Bill C-22, a bill that would grant surveillance powers to
&amp;ldquo;law enforcement&amp;rdquo;, and with other push against Privacy, it is
unsurprising that a bank would go ahead with that kind of practice,
and try to get away with it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This goes on in a long pattern of workplace abuse and lack of
protection of workers, one that includes forced commute.&lt;/p&gt;
