AI Fallout
The BBC tells us that Amazon pulls AI recap from Fallout TV show after it made several mistakes:
Amazon has pulled a video recap made with artificial intelligence (AI) from its hit TV show Fallout after users said it got several facts wrong about the series.
[…]
[…] a clip [..] was wrongly described in the AI narration as a “1950s flashback”.
Despite the clip’s retro aesthetic, it actually depicts a scene in 2077
The failure of that “AI” is a testament to the production design. But it’s not the only error from the summary.
That’s what Amazon trillions do, and I’m sure someone got a bonus or a promotion for this. And they are not alone in that game of “summarising got wrong”.
Note about the Fallout TV series.
I have seen the first season. It’s a great show. The acting is great and the story make us want to watch the second season. The set production design is amazing and if you have played (or just watched play) Fallout 4, you’ll feel it right there. It’s not often that a video game adaptation to the big screen works well. The other I can think of is The Last of Us. Has for the story, it separate from the various games, but really either the character of Luc McLean (played by Ella Purnell) or the Ghoul (played by Walton Goggins) could be the player character in a game based on this story line. And the show even expand on the world building.
Let’s enjoy these until things get completely ruined by AI capitalism.
