Futurism tells OpenAI Reportedly Planning to Make ChatGPT “Prioritize” Advertisers in Conversation:

Beneath ChatGPT’s flattering persona lies a goldmine for advertisers: an AI chatbot that never gets tired of hawking clients’ wares.

The Law definitely applies here. And it’s no surprise that OpenAI would want ChatGPT would turn into an advertising machine.

“As ChatGPT becomes more capable and widely used, we’re looking at ways to continue offering more intelligence to everyone,”

Imagine a bullshit machine that not only will produce lies and try flattering you but also insert advertising in a way that you don’t even realise it is an ad. If you thoight things couldn’t get worse, then wait until you see it. Since it’s an American company, I wonder what the FTC would have to say about this.

Imagine burning the planet even faster to show ads… Capitalism has no limits. 2026 is gonna be great.
