Hasbro, the U.S. entertainment giant that acquired the Peppa Pig brand in 2019, is asking child actors on the animated series to sign over their voices to artificial intelligence under new contract terms,

In short, Hasbro, the toy conglomerate that also own Magic the Gathering and Dugeon & Dragons, wants to be able to avoid having to pay child actors by exploiting their voice with AI. This is the kind of move that the 2024 SAG-AFTRA strike was fighting. And this is done by bullying as the contract renews — sign or don’t get a contract.
