# shutdown -r now

It’s time for a reboot.

I created this website to talk about tabletop games, and I really meant not talking about computers. I ended up not doing it as much as I wanted. Exactly one year and seven month since the last post.

First, there are plenty of other people writing quality content about tabletop games, RPG, or board games, so I’ll leave it to them.

Second, I end up having slowed down on playing. Not only with the pandemic, but with life in general. Sure the pandemic didn’t help.

I don’t exclude talking about games from time to time, but they will not remain the main focus.

I will write about computer technology in general, and my love and hate relationship with it, and other topic intersecting. My main focus is FLOSS (Free Libre Open Source Software), and how it helps as a tool (and also the opposite), and things surrounding privacy and the web. I’ll try to keep it practical.

And there is new look too: I moved from Jekkyll to Hugo. It’s like a complete home make over.

About the name: Maple Dice. It is meant to represent games (tabletop) and Canada which is where I live. Technology is a game too.
